Hi All
I managed some time at Martin Mere on Friday whilst visiting friends in the North West. I was really hoping for some good flight shots of Whoopers, Shelducks, etc but failed to get anything decent. The sun shone a bit at middday on Friday, but unfortunately was gone by 3pm when the Martin Mere feeding frenzy takes place.
Just to post something, here is a shot from the Swan Link hide.
Canon 20D, 300mm F4 L + 1.4x TC, ISO 200, f8, 1/640th, tripod, sunshine!
cheers

Hi Sean
You got there then - nice image and a great job on the whites!
Hi Sean,
A nice image with the swan really standing out well from the darker water.
I like the rippled water surface too.

Very nice Sean. Whites look great and the water colour adds really good contrast to this.

Sounds like a frustrating day, I like the whooper, do you have any close ups that yellow beak looks great against that blue?

Hello Sean
Nice image with spot on exposure. I think the Whooper is one of the birds where the bird's head needs to be side on to see it at its best, although this angle does make a change..
Best wishes
Phil
