Was thinking of buying the Mark 2 Just wondering if anyone has used the Mark 2.
It is a little cheaper then the Mark 2 N. Are the differences pretty significant?
Thanks for any advice. Also, has anyone bought anything from Adorama. I usually buy from B&H Photo.

Dan,
I have the MkII and love it. The N version has a ½ inch larger screen on the back and there's 1 or 2 other differences that I don't remember. Check out www.dpreview.com for those differences. I have had over 30,000 actuations without a problem. Very occasionally I will get an err readout, so far its happened about 3-4 times after making an exposure (probably related to writing to the card) but it is easily fixed by pulling the battery pack and putting it back in. So 3-4 times out of 30,000+ actuations doesn't warrant much concern. When I'm using the 8.5 frames per second motor drive, I usually do quick 3-4 frame bursts rather than holding the shutter button down for 2-3 seconds.

I go to Adorama for most stuff (or ebay). I think they are pretty simialar to B&H.
If you spend a lot of money with them they'll treat you like a king. If you're just a nickel & dimer (like me) you'll get "average" customer service from either.

I've ordered lots from B&H without ever a single complaint. I ordered once from Adorama because they had the item listed as in-stock. I finally got my order one month later. Haven't ordered anything from them since.
BTW: The Adorama bill still charged for 2 day shipping!

I've been using the Mk2 for a couple years now with now issues. Very nice body - but a bit on the heavy side. I originally purchased it for sports photography, but it does a great job with general nature. Currently, I'm using the 5D for all nature and travel, with the 1D Mk2 relagated just for sports.
