This was shot on a really col & rainy ( and I mean rainy) Friday afternoon. Some of you know this spot and it's been shot a lot. What's really unique about this day was that the tree trunks were really dark from all the rain, and the saturation was great, as the rain really brings out the fall colors. But the white tree trunks really popped. These are buckeye trees(I think), that are quite different from the Oaks, Elm's etc. The white tree trunks really pop.

I'm not sure about the river on the far right, maybe if it weren't right upa gainst the corner then it would be more to my tastes. I did a similar sort of composition at Clifty, I should post it. I love the colors.

Richard,
I kind of fee the same, however this overlook is called Tinker's Creek Overlook" and the natives who might possible buy this ( it's an icon shot of the Cuyahoga Natl Park) are 1) used to seeing it and 2) might not buy it without Tinkers creek showing. It had rained about 3 inches the night before this was taken and the creek looks like a river in this image, It usually doesn't come close to being this high. ( I have some other similar images taken in different years on my website, under Galleries-Ohio).

Nice moment Jack. I understand where you're coming from regarding the inclusion of the creek. Personally, it feels a bit tight on the right side. To my eye, if there were a bit more of the far bank included, I think it would be stronger. Of course, I don't know if that's even possible.
