Wanted to try somewhere different for a change and went mad the other day. Got up at 2.30 and drove from South Devon to Snettisham for the day, arriving just as the sun was coming up and getting back at 10.30. Found a group of these on the beach not long after sunrise not sure if it is a Knot as the plumage does not quite fit the images in my ID books.

Great place to go for a day lots of subjects at least 3 Barn Owls, the Black Eared Kite put in a distant appearance, Goldeneye a distant Little Auk but dipped on the Shore Larks one of the reasons I went.

1DS Mk11 500mm + 2xTC tripod and Wimberley ISO 400 1/1000 at f11 -1/3EC processed in Capture One. Crop approx 25%

Very nice John - sounds like the kind of madness I generally get up to!! (Mind you, that was a brave thing to do considering the current weather!!!!)
