Common or Grey Seal
Found this one in the surf eyeing up the female seals at Donna Knook just after sun rise. Couldn't make my mind up if it was Common, Grey or perhaps a new species! (Suggestions please)

Canon 1D MkII + 300f2.8 (used a long lens as I was not sure about getting too close)

Hi Dave,

Definately a wylie choice to use a long lens for this species, I have heard that they can be very fast when provoked

 :toast:

Long lens?

Very creative, I would have thought a wide angle would have been first choice.

Given the colour of his skins, I would say w/o doubt common

Looks more like a monk seal to me...........on the knees and preying to the gods for a decent image?

Hi David, super landscape shot - maybe you should crop some 50% off from the right
