Wigeon in flight
Had some nice light this morning in Budleigh, Devon, when the fog lifted and Wigeon were looking to land at their favourite pond which was frozen over. Every 15 mins or so a group would have a look to see if it had thawed enough.

Quite good to just watch. How fast do these things fly?!!!?

Unfortunately this is cropped to about 30% of full frame, but I thought I'd post it as I'm practising my flight shots.

Comments appreciated

Very nice, good detail considering the crop, I might just loose a bit top and bottom for web presentation, well done with a great exposure.

Cropped or not this is awesome considering its done with a 500 and a 2x on a wigeon in full flight. Crop works well and the light is superb. Deserves more credit than you've been given!

Well done

John
