Howdy everyone!! Hope all you local folks have managed to dig yourselves out from the big Holiday Blizzard of 2006! Except for the four hours of shoveling yesterday, it was quite fun to have a snow day! Sadly, I didn't get out to shoot the scenery, but i did manage this grab shot in my front yard. Thought it kind of had a Holiday feel to it, and wanted to share.
So, here's wishing everyone a safe and happy Holiday!!! we're hopefully off tomorrow AM early for the long drive to eastern Iowa to visit my family. Wish us luck!! Take care all!!
edit: of course, after posting,I realize maybe I should have cropped a little left, to center it all up. I'll correct that later when I get home form work.

Quit your whining about shovelling snow for 4 hours, some of us had to work close to 40 hours straight to keep the world of TV going.
And a Merry Whining Christmas to ya buddy!

Eh...we know that you're a little off-center. Any photo with this much snow is sweet, but the curving snow line makes it all that much better. Did you bump up the contrast, too? Looks a little zippier now - I like it!
4 hours of shoveling snow!? Where was Hillary? Here's a picture of how it's supposed to be done: you take pics while the wifey clears the drive! Of course, maybe that's not such a good idea these days...

Hey we got snow ploughed today for the first time, no mail or newspapers yet though. All my storm pics are on my website, not very artistic but fun though, it was crazy while it lasted! Oh yes that's Joan with the shovel! Oops!
Merry Christmas all,
Bill

Nice grab shot Brent. I love the lines and contrast. My Christmas presents wont be here in time, but at least they will get out of town before the holidays now that the airport's open. Have a safe drive and a great Christmas. Don't forget to get some good shots of the colorful Iowa landscape .
