I've only ever seen the rear ends of these disappearing into the distance, good capture. This is strictly personal taste but I may have been tempted to clone out the small vertical 'growth' in the water and trim just a midges off the right possibly.

Nice shot in what appears very flat light but the bird stands out well!

Very nice shot and teh flat lighting has really brought out the colours and detail. I quite like the wee vertical stem in the water but find teh green growth at top left slightly distracting. It looks quite good as a panoramic, if you crop just below the green plant.

Flat light maybe, but well caught, good exposure. Works for me as is, though a pano may be an alternative image.

Nice image of a bird that I hardly ever see - let alone get a chance to photograph! I think I tend to agree with Malcom - the small stem doesn't bother me but the green foliage at top left tends to draw my eye.

It obviously thought its camo' was good because it stayed where it was whilst I got out of my van, assembled my gear and then walked towards it.
I've seen it 3 times since and not got near it.
