The ExpoDisk is a filter-like device used to set custom white balance. Basically, you put the ExpoDisk on your lens, set the white balance program to preset, then take a picture of the light source for your image. Depending on how your camera is setup, you may need to put your lens in manual focus for the shutter to release. Once the white balance has been measured, you remove the ExpoDisk and take your shots normally. You will not need to reset the white balance preset unless you change your light source.

I have measured the accuracy of the ExpoDIsk be comparing it to pictures where I measured white balance with a grey card. In my opinion, the ExpoDIsk is as good, if not better than the grey card. It is very easy to use since it sets your white balance right in the camera. There is no need to adjust white balance in your RAW processor. That is all there is to it.

I have the 77mm size and it fits two of my lenses. The biggest drawback is cost. The ExpoDisk costs more than a grey card, and you may need more than one depending on what type of lenses you have. I highly recommend it.
