Another from last Sunday when I took many Sanderling shots but this was my favourite. These friendly little waders always amuse me with the way they feed and run ahead of the incoming tide which I felt this shot captured quite well!

Hi David
Yes, I like this shot. The legs are perfectly positioned and there is a great impression of motion without teh bird looking 'frozen' or unbalanced. Great sea colour as well.
Cheers

How on earth do you get so close to these David? Where was this taken? I have to get me some of these
Wonderful image...as usual!! Like you say, really shows the action of the Sanderling and largely due to the superb composition. Great skills. Happy Christmas and thanks for all your comments and help over the last year. Very much appreciate it.

Very nice Dave. Like the pano crop and super exposure (they were difficult in that lighting we had!) but for me the only nit is the bird is a tad central or even has more room behind it than in front. Good capture though.

Hi John
The framing of the bird with more behind is very deliberate as I wanted some of the emphasis to centre on the incoming tide chasing the bird!

Super image David - nicely exposed and I think the crop really works here.

Now I just knew you would have to venture out from land locked Wiltshire one day David.
What do you think of the Lincolnshire coast line?
No wonder the Sanderling came to meet and greet you.
Nice action shot depicting movement etc.
Major.
