Well, if no one else has anything to share.....three posts in a row for me! Maybe you all aren't quite so burnt-out on Rainier shots at this point in the year. I dug this one out of the archives this morning. This is Spray Park on Rainier's West side not far from my campsite in early August.
I sure wish some of the park roads were open this Winter.
Thanks for looking,

Wow...that is wierd. I processed some of my Rainier images last night too. I was also wishing to get some winter scenes up here. That would be awesome.
The comp is great, the lighting in the foreground is true and good. Blue skies are nice. Nice because it offers portfolio diversity between the more "special" moments. I wish there were more flowers all over the place this last year...but hey, theres always next year! Perhaps we might even get a cloud event or 2.

Sweet shot Marc, I love the detail in the midground.
Marc, this is a really nice classic shot. I like the moon in there. I likewise wish the roads were not crapped out; one of my favorite places to go to. Well, makes us appreciate the place even more.

Have you ever thought of doing the round the mountain hike, Marc?

Marc,
Thisi is excellent. You've been doing pretty good with your last few post's with cloudless skies.

Mark, I thought about it in Winter but not in Summer. I know some RMI guys who try to do a ski-tour trip around the mountain every Winter - probably not this year though. Doing it in Summer means playing the permit lottery in April and not always getting to choose where you stay. I do better photography-wise if I can pick and choose my spots. Besides, I like to wander around off-trail too much and don't like being held a specific schedule. This year my Summer Rainier schedule might be complicated with a workshop I'm teaching up there.
