Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful xmas. As for me...
Lake Lytle is located at Rockaway Beach on the Oregon coast (about 15 miles north of the Tillamook cheese factory). With the grown kids scattered all about the country this holiday, my wife and I decided to spend our xmas at a beach house on the coast and it was just across the road from this lake.
I'd posted this one on the TPN side but since many here never go there I'm posting here too.

Simply an exquisite image, IMHO comp could not be better, technique perfect, a wonderful reminder that beauty and drama abound in small places. Print very large.
I agree, Geoff! This is so beautiful with the fog creating the layered effect in the trees in the background; the color and reflections around the lake add their own drama. And the comp is gorgeous. Sure glad you posted it over here. This is one I'd be pleased to look at a long time.

I agree, this is a nice image. The fog makes this one.

Beautiful peaceful scene. I like the 3 layers, fg reflections in the lake, brown shrubs, distant trees shrouded in fog. They all compliment each other. Well seen.

Yeah, this is the kind of thing I really like, Geoff.

I appreciate everyone's comments - thanks!
Rick - the fog was definitely what attracted me to this. The layering as a result of those background trees really did it for me.
What I really wanted to get in this image was a bufflehead (duck) that was coming in and out of the scene. She would have added a lot to the image sitting in the distance. But I was never able to capture the right moment with the duck in the field of view.
