Greetings!! Hope everyone had a good Chirstmas! My parents live in Newark and I'm heading up that way this aftrnoon....I always do Hocking Hills when I'm up there is there anything eles in the area that is a must see this time of year? I'm willing to drive 2-3 hours in any direction.

Hocking is one of my favorite areas but there are a few other decent areas within a few hours of Newark. I am not sure what you are looking for but the Amish Country near Holmes County, OH is interesting if you are into that. Another one of the prettier areas in Ohio is Cuyahoga NP but I'm not sure how far the drive is from Newark. Both places would be prettier if we would get a bit of snow/ice this time of year. Sorry I've not replied earlier Kirk but thanks for the info! We where going to make the drive up to Cuyahoga NP but the day we could all get together, the weather didn't cooperate (bright sun ) but we did make it to OMC the same day you where there
