Gorge Day (just about the worst name I've ever come up with)
D2x
f/8 @ 1/40
28-70mm lens @ 70

Cropped from the bottom and left.

I was out yesterday, driving around the Gorge (where, btw, it wasn't -30 but it was windy and it was butt cold!) checking out some spots I've been looking at. I drove to this one pond that's quite off the beaten path and found this shot.

I liked the trees reflection's in the water and thought the grasses moving in from the left and the brighter reflection doing the same from the right made a nice graphic.

It's a quite subtle photo, the prints look real nice, the photo does to me what i want my photos to do. but I'll be real surprised if it works here on the web.
Anyway, here ya go. Comments?

How about 'Gorge Impressions', Mark? Looks very painterly to me - especially with textures of the reflections. I also like a little crop off the top for an even more abstract look.

Impressions... exactly what I thought. Very moody and interesting scene. I like it.

The brown and green hues and the bare trees reflecting in the still water evoke a wintry mood. Nice abstract scene.

Another stinker title! But the image is better! I especially like the darker tree shadow across the water surface.

Had to take some time to look at this one, but i'm coming around on it. It's in the reflections. Ah, more food for thought. :jump:

Lovely image, as is said at this site----"I'm all over it." Print large and frame.
