Hello all,
I've posted this in a couple other places without much response, thought i'd try here. I'm looking at getting a new monitor. I havent totally ruled out a new CRT, but i'm leaning towards an LCD to save weight and space. That being said, I'm hoping not to spend more than $400. This rules out Eizo and Apple Cinemas. I'd like to get either a 21" or 22" and I'm seriously considering the Samsung 225BW. The NEC's are a little more than i'd like to spend at the moment, but if they are considerably better, I might opt for one. Any suggestions or other brands?

No personal experience, but I am also considering this monitor and looked at 15 user reviews for it on Pricegrabber.com this morning.

Have to be careful with the cheaper LCDs great for office apps, but lousy for images. You'd be lucky to find a quality CRT these days. Best to have a look at a range of images on the model you're thinking about getting.
