Saturday night, just going through old photos after a foggy eagle shoot with my daughter is am. Nothing nature about this shot other than the clouds. This angle gives one the idea that I was in the air - NOT. Shot last 4th of July air show over Tacoma, from the water. I have not posted in a while due to work and getting ready for the big trip (look for stuff in Feb). Just wanted to let all know I am still around.

BTW: Anyone know of matt cutter called speed-matt? If so drop me a line.

Nikon D2x
200-400 VR @400
ISO 250
1/250 @ F11
Multi-Pattern, Aperture Priority
SPEED > 400 knots and closing fast.

Yeah baby!!!!!!! Having been in an F-15 Squadron whilst in the USAF I am GROOVIN on this one Randy!!! We call this a "Naked Eagle" since it isn't carrying any pylons or external fuel tanks. Minus those an F-15 can REALLY haul B***!!!!

As far as the Speed Mat goes they are DANG awesome with an equally DANG amazing sticker shock!!! They start at $2k and go up from there!!! Nancy & I just today bought a Fletcher 2100 used on Craigslist.com for $1025.00, which even though 8 years old it was never actually used by its owner - she claimed using it hurt her back too much... A sweet deal for sure. And a HUGE step up from our Logan 750. We've been getting it positioned and tuned to be used in excess tomorrow to prep up my 8 prints for the Gallery show. The Logan simply isn't up to the task and was cutting some mighty wobbly lines... And twas REALLY annoying this insanely perfectionist photographer!!!

Oh and the trick to not breaking your back while cutting mats is to raise the mat cutter/table up to level with yer belly button. Any lower and it does indeed begin to torture one's back for sure!!!

Yeah, Randy, love it. I got some good ones of the Blue Angels a few years back at Seafair. It was so much fun I was high for a week. It's nature. It's an 'Eagle' right?
