Taken a good few weeks ago now in Warwickshire, so Midlands Blue Tit as opposed to a Devonshire Blue Tit! Perhaps a bit big in the frame for some, but here it is anyway.

Certainly a screen filler! I don't mind that myself and I think you've really nailed the exposure. A little more DOF to ensure the right leg was sharp would have been nice - but thats a very minor nit and I stillthink its a cracking image

Thanks for the comment Dennis. Light was pretty changeable from what I remember and I was just glad to get a sharp shot to be honest. Bit reluctant to slow the shutter any more, but you're right, it would have improved the image to have more DOF.
Also, I did say it was a bit big in the frame for some...and that includes me
Didn't have much time to process earlier so have done it again. Mental note to get it rightish before posting
Is this any better? I reckon it is...certainly composition wise. Cheers, Graeme

Certainly looks better to me. I too have a habit of posting first and then realising I have cropped too much/not enough/left a dust spot etc etc so my first (and only) New years resolution is to cast an (even more) critical eye over any images I post
I also understand where you are coming from with regards the shutter speed - I discovered on Boxing Day that even seals move at greater than 1/30th sec!!!!
Happy new year - and look forward to seeing more of your stuff in 2007!

It looked far too big in the first post. Going cross-eyed looking at it.
Repost is good.
Happy new year
