Temple River
Banff's Mount Temple reflects in an icy Bow River in frigid temperatures. The river was freezing rapidly and chunks of ice floating through were streaked by the long shutter speed.

5D, 17-40 at 40mm, 2-stop RGND, polarzier, 4-stop ND, 3 sec. at F20.

Marc, it's not the most spectacular shot you've ever posted but pleasing in its own right. I'd surely be happy with this one if I'd taken it. You sure do make aggressive use of those filters!

The first thing I thought, Marc, was, "wow, that ice, that reflection, that's cool'!

As usual for you, the comp is great, the light is great and the colors are great. It's not a Oh My GOD! shot but it's very nice.

The river is the special part of this image. I like the colors and streaky ice.

Well, Marc... You're in a sad situation. Most of your shots are so OH MY GOD spectacular that we're all ho-hum about your merely STRIKING images such as this one. The river is mesmerizing with the streaks and the reflection from the clouds. That's how my eye goes through the frame. River to clouds to river....

Another nice one Marc. For some reason , since the water appears so smooth, I feel like running my finger through the reflection.
I

Marc, I really like the streaks caused by the long exposure. Great color and comp as usual.

What Tim said about the streaks. This one makes my toes burning cold just to look at it!
