Cliché Orchard/Barn/Mt. Hood Shot
Okay, a variant of this image has probably been taken hundreds of thousands of times over the years, but I keep stopping by there when the bloom fires up in Hood River (I like barns, dang it...probably since I am a farm boy at heart). Mostly, this image makes me think of spring and the coming bloom. I'm probably not going to get out much this winter, so I've got to look forward to spring shooting.

Ryan - My only wish for you would have been some clouds. Nice photo.

I wished for clouds that day too. My kingdom, my kingdom for some clouds!

Nice DOF also, It almost appears as if it's 3D.

Ryan, this is a great travel shot. I'd think about posting this one up on the TPN side of things...

Ryan, is this the same shot that you applied an Orton effect to a while back and won an EP? Or, just the same view. Either way, love the shot. Great forground framing.

Different shot from very close to the same spot as the Orton shot. The shot I applied Orton to was shot with a small point-and-shoot digital I had at the time. I went back with my 20D to try again.

Lacking clouds, Ryan, Ellen livens it up a bit, don't you think?

You'll be able to do this with your little bambino soon!

An excellent replacement for clouds! I'm looking forward to the adventures that will be starting in February when she arrives!
