Last one from Scotland. I really want to know if the centralised subject works here as I am not keen in centralised anything in a pano 617 format.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom
Love the soft light, frost and good detail in the image. I do feel the subject is a little too central, especially as there are no points of interest in the LH side of the frame. I also feel I would have preferred room for the virtual feet etc although I can see with the OOF FG why you have cropped more tightly in this area. Hope this helps!

Hi Tom,
I'd prefer a little cropped off the left. My biggest distraction is the OOF dark patch on the base below the head.
H'mm too much cloning to get ride of that so it's FTB.

Hi Tom
A great grouse image but I do agree with the above comments regarding it being to centralised & the OOF patch at the base. Great pumage colours againts that backdrop though!
I have never seen a Grouse before, they are stunning birds aint they
Cropped in slightly to make the bird more off centre (to the left). Also cloned out the small reminants of brown at the bottom as there wasn't much left after I had cropped in holding the 3:1 ratio. Forgot to sharpen it a wee bit though

Both fine images but the repost is certainly the better image IMO.

Brrrrrrr, that looooks, A BIT COLD too but I like both images for there own reasons it does remind me of one of the Stubble Quail (Coturnix pectoralis) we have hear in its shape and base colour the male has similar colour thraot to that you blokes colar, commonly shot as a game bird here in the season from mid Summer to late Autumn. just the same my feelings are of a great shot,
