Hi to all,
Robin , photographed at Potteric Carr this morning by the feeding station.
Canon 20D , 500mm F4 L IS , 1.4t/c , W/Hv2 , Gitzo 1325
F5.6 at 1/60th
Crop for comp , Levels , Smart Sharpen in CS2
Thanks to everyone on the forum for their help and advice in the last few months its been very much appreciated.
I hope you all have a fantastic and very productive new year.
Hi Andy
Looks to be a sharp shot.
This is going to sound odd coming from someone who's been moaning about a lack of light for the past couple of months.
The shot look to have been taken in light that was maybe a touch too harsh....the hot whites around the wing and around the eye along with the OOF background highlights take the eye quickly.
Maybe in these conditions it would be better to underexpose a little more, or maybe expose for the highlights.
Must be good seeing sunshine again

Agree with John - the lights seems a little harsh - nice and sharp though.
I like it! Background may not be to everyone`s taste, but I find it...interesting! Would perhaps crop a little from top and left to decentralize the bird.
