...monitor calibration question... sorry!

Having always calibrated my monitor with 'Adobe Gamma' from Control Panel, I am unable to get the gamma/midtones to appear right on my new flatscreen monitor. I am hoping to purchase a Pantone Huey Monitor Calibrator, but my question is:

Will this device adjust the gamma setting to make images appear correctly on screen?

Adjusting by eye doesn't seem to work anymore!

Many thanks for any help/advise!

You should be OK with the Huey.

Hi Pete...

It will do the job, I am not familiar with the pantone huey software but it should allow you to perform monitor calibration prior to profiling to set your white and black points correctly, something Adobe Gamma isn't too good at.
