Happy New Year, everyone!

For those of you in NE Ohio and those who visit us, I just found a new area to explore, five minutes from my house--the Bath Nature Preserve. It has a wide variety of ecosystems and seems like it could be an interesting place to shoot. I was there yesterday and watched five red-tailed hawks circling the fields. Today there was a female kestrel hunting right beside the parking lot. There are ponds and woods and creeks and even a tamarack bog. What makes it unique compared to other parks in the area is the amount of open sky. Probably a great place to shoot sunrises and sunsets. It will be interesting to see what the changing seasons bring.
Go to http://www.bathtownship.org/parks/page5.html for additional info.

Have a great 2007!

If it is the place I am thinking of, it is also good for wildflowers. Never been there in the Fall or Winter, though.
