Anyone around here from the Klamath Falls area? When is a good time to try to get eagles on the lake? Couldn't get down there last year.
Thanks -
Sandy
Feb is a good time. There's a bald eagle festival in klamath falls - I think during the president's day weekend. Google for Klamath Falls Bald eagle festival and you'll get tons of information.

Sandy,
Mid- Nov- Feb--depending on the weather. ( I am not sure how the weather pattern this year has affected the birds). Kalmath was one spot I used to go to every year and look forward to getting back to in 07 !.

Hey Sandy,
i was there last week and probably saw thirty eagles during the course of a day. All but a couple were too far away for my 1-400mm. There should be more and more for the next couple of months.
Tons of other raptors, especially Lower Klamath NWR. Harriers, rough legged, redtails. I just posted a ghowl I found there in the avian forum. Also, the last couple of times there has been a herd of deer, including an impressive buck hanging out not far from the refuge headquarters. Good luck. Dan

Sandy,
Last January, Inge and I went to Lake Quinault and saw surprising number of eagles. (We were actually looking for elk.)
I don't know where you're located, but you also want think about that. Of course, remember it is a rain forest so check the weather ahead of time.
