Little Grebe
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm non IS lens, G1548 tripod, hide, NPN groundplate.

Hi All,

Now that I have finally moved home (moved in on xmas eve!!)and back online I can start contributing to the forum again.
I have had a couple of days to search my new "patch", the good news is my Barn Owl box I put up in the summer on the meadows opposite my new home is being used as a roost by a female Barn Owl, she gave me fantastic views last night, hunting the meadows so next step is to get some shots!!
There are also Otter on the river so this will be a future project, as well as Kingfisher and the normal water birds (Ducks, Swan's, Morrhen etc) and a nice reedbed for warbler's etc and hopefully a Cuckoo in the spring.

The posted image of the Little Grebe is one from Phil Shaw's workshop in the summer.

All comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Rob.... How many rooms you got, think we could all be moving  , sounds a great place to be, Very nice Little grebe that appears to be swimming slightly downhill, just a touch of CCW rotation needed methinks.

Congrats on the move...

That's a nice shot . (Better even when you've rotated it a tad.)

Looking forward to your Barn owl shots.

Nice low angle and plenty of detail.

Good luck in the new house :toast:

Sounds like bliss! Agree with the rotation, but otherwise a fine image.

Lovely image and the low angle really sets it off for me. Looks like you've moved to a pretty good location - look forward to seeing what you get this year.

Other than the slight tilt I can find no fault with this - good work, and congratulations on your recent move to the Garden of Eden!
