Weeping Rose
I was playing around with some shots of my wife's roses from this summer, trying to find a different angle. My wife thought this one looked like the rose is weeping. Shot in color but I think it looks better in b/w.

Very cool Jamie! And I really like the black and white treatment. I'm sure the color is cool, but this really works B&W!

The composition is very good, but i think i would prefer it in color. The B&W makes it hard ot tell it's a rose--it looks dead, and i think that's contrary to the intent of the image.

I like it too! The B&W really makes it look different. I would like to see it with more DOF, but this really works too.

Yep - the tones make this a very pleasing image. I wouldn't mind seeing a slightly wider angle to show off the overall shape of the rose, but that's a pretty subjective preference. Nice work!
