Today I searched for an unusual perch to locate at one of the feeders I visit. This particular feeder is very close to a release aviary where wild bird of prey casualties are put back to the wild. The aviary is covered with fine netting to make it a bit wind proof.
The colour of the aviary walls was used as a back drop to add a bit of colour.
Perch was positioned in line with the netting & in comes a Great tit to act as a subject. This is the result I came away with, what do you think?
Thanks for looking & any comments that are given.

Good combination of colours make the photo quite attractive

Hi Vince,
Nice shot - the perch is more interesting than the bird however imo, particularly the colours and the shape - maybe you could sell this one to some kind of 'iron rings monthly' mag
maybe you've hit on something - has anyone ever made up little highwires and trapezes for perches? now that would be a great picture
btw - shame the perch is so dominant as the bird is sharp, detailed and in a lovely pose,
Cheers

Terrific perch with those rust spots, almost too good. I'm trying to think of other species that may suit it.

Hi Vince,
Great Tit has a lovely pose and great colours and sharpness, the BG is also clean and good, However I'm not sure about the perch although it may suit a different species, somethng bigger like a Thrush.

Can you not train it to perch inside the ring?
