I have been wanting to do this for a while, so this Christmas I did it, I puchased an old Canon 10D and had it converted so that it only sees light in the InfraRed spectrum :-) I like it very much! I haven't had much chance to really play with the colors very much, so these are the typical look for IR color shots, swaping the red and blue color channels I believe.

"converted"? So it's not just another lens filter, but a modification around the sensor? Does a normal senseor come with a filter to remove non visible light (and why sony has a nightshot mode?).
Makes these shots come out nice because of the different outlook. However you do have intruders to crop in a couple of the photos you list.

the filter on the sensor that blocks most of the IR waves has been removed, and is replaced with a filter that blocks all other wave lenghts accept for the IR waves. So, the camera is only seeing IR wave lengths (well, mostly anyway). No fliters are needed on the lenses, this is what I like about it :-) I had it done at www.lifepixel.com

I don't shoot digital (mainly for financial reasons), but that's pretty cool anyway! To me, that's just more of the promise of digital coming through. Too bad you can't control the sensor in-camera on a regular unit. I would guess that capability will come along eventually.

Like the effect on the foliage. The blue sky tho looks a bit out of place. If you aren't opposed to it, I'd clone the tree on the upper left corner or crop it out.

good suggestion to clone that branch out Richard :-) What would you suggest for the sky, just grey? The original had the sky as red, by the way.

I would go either either dark grey or even an off-white color and see what happens. Setting the photoshop channel mixer layer on monochromatic then tweaking the sliders might give you what you're looking for.
