Greetings-
I've not used http:www.expresscameras.com but see that their prices are usually less than the site I normally use, http://www.onecall.com.

Does anyone have positive or negative experiences with expresscameras or would could you suggest other sites for buying camera bodies online?

Thanks in advance,
Rod

Rod, I just went through this myself and I looked at several online sites. I was tempted by the prices but after talking to several of the people who post on this forum I decided to pay what I knew was a little extra and stay with B & H out of NY. I have bought a lot of stuff from them and have consistently had great service and quality products. I would highly recommend that you check them out at www.bhphotovideo.com. Good luck!

There are warnings everywhere about expresscameras.com. Although I do not have any experience with them, I tend to learn from others mistakes.

As already mentioned you cannot go wrong with B&H and I have had good luck with badgergraphics.com. For lenses sigma4less.com is pretty good. They are stocking some Canon and Nikon now too.

Go to B&H and use this link.

It is all the items that they have specials on. Check the regular price also. I have seen where the regular price is better sometimes. ???

If the price is too good, the experience probably will not be!

Anytime you have a question about an online dealer, the first place to stop is www.resellerratings.com. This place will usually answer any questions you might have about almost any dealer online.

BTW > out of a possible rating of 10, Express camera has a rating of .39. That's not thirty-nine, that's POINT 39. Stay away from these guys and stick with the reputable dealers like B&H or Adorama. I've also had great luck with Cameta Camera that now sells almost exclusively via eBay. They're competitively priced, all products are US versions with full factory US warranties, and are easy to deal with. I've purchased both a Nikon F5 and a D2x from them and have been completely satisfied and saved about $500 each time over other dealers. They also sell a large amount of factory demo items so make sure you read the auction listings carefully if you want new, fresh from the factory merchandise only. Don't be afraid of the demo items -- my son-in-law bought a Nikon D70s demo from them and it was in perfect shape with a full, one year warranty. Just be sure you know what you're buying if you choose to purchase from them.

Just remember the old axiom, "If it's too good to be true..." (you know the rest!)

I try to buy local first. Why send money to some fat cat in New York when you can send it to some local fat cat. If I have to order it in B and H is about as cheap as they get.

I'm helping a friend buy a Nikon s2xs, sb800, 18-200mm and more.
He is leaning toward a purchase from Broadway photo and their price is much lower than BH, KEH, and One call. I am leary of this outfit just because the price is so low.
I'll check out the reseller website, but I'd like to hear any experience with them or thoughts.

Thanks
