We have a 4 day weekend and were thinking about heading to Utah for a shoot what would be everybody's suggestions considering the limited time.

If you haven't seen too much of Moab, I'd say it's always a good bet for a short trip - Arches N.P., Dead Horse Point, Mesa Arch...

If this is your first visit and you don't want to spend too much time driving around then I agree with Grant - head to Moab. There's a lot there within and you don't have to drive too far between the different parks to hit some amazing scenery.

Check the weather. Moab has a 50% chance of snow.
St. George looks better on the forecast.

Moab + Snow = Great photography. If it's not supposed to snow a foot, anyway. An inch or two can do wonders to the scenery. If you're travelling from Denver and haven't had a chance to enjoy Utah yet, Arches and Canyonlands are a close and spectacular first trip.

With a 4-day weekend, you can get to just about anywhere in Utah... Zion, Bryce (depending on how snowy it is...), Escalante. You can't go wrong with any of the National Parks there. Many of the state parks are also good.

Of course, my opinion is quite slanted but I will also say "Moab." We're supposed to get snow on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'll be out shooting quite alot during that time frame.

Have fun but be careful--this is a major winter storm and even if Moab doesn't get socked, there is going to be major snow dumpage over a broad area, and travel will be hazardous.
