Nikon D80
18-200mm lens at 112 mm
f/5.6 @ 1/200 w/VR

Peggy and I went up to Lyle to look at some land today and the whole area was right at that level were it was in and out of the clouds. I was walking around with my new D80 so I was banging off some shots to check it out.
This one turned out sort of nice but don't look too hard or you might see the powerlines running right through the horses. Drat!

Dreamy looking Mark. I've been waiting for Erhardts to announce the newest in power line filters arriving at the vendor forum. I have quite a few photos that would be lovely without the power lines.

Mark,
This is a nice moody shot. The position of the horses heads add to the dreary foggy mood. I know your Mr. Crop but what do you think about cropping some of the close foreground? I kind of feel like it takes away from the overall mood of the image. As for the d80, my boss bought one and he let me play around with it for a while. I have to tell you I wasn't overly impressed with it. What I did like about it was the image quality weight and you can use the built in flash as a master and use your sb600 or 800 as a remote slave. With the D2x, you have to buy two flash units.

Once I saw the power lines, Erik, I sort of gave up on it. Actually, I have a much better photo over at M&N right now. I almost deleted this one.
