On a snowy theme
I'd hoped to shoot winter owls. I didn't find those, and it was windy and the sky was full of snow, so this is part of what happened instead out the Echo Trail from Ely a few days ago. This is a black spruce bog on a dark day, with upland pines in the background.

Shot with the Canon 20D and Canon 100-400L IS, handheld at 350mm, iso100, 1/125 at f8, full frame.
