Hunting Island

My wife and I are trying to decide where to go on a short 4 or 5 day trip this weekend and into early next week.
How is Hunting Island this time of year. The weather forcast is calling for temps in the mid 70's with a chance of showers.
Are the cabins available for rent this time of the year?

Josh,
This is the perfect time to visit. Weather should be perfect, bugs should be tolerable.
The cabins are usually reserved pretty far in advance. You can always call about availability, but my guess would be, its a long-shot.
The campground is very nice. You might want to consider that or a motel in Beaufort. Enjoy the trip!
