Hi everyone. Just found out there is a very nice comet visible just after sunset. Its low in the west. This quick and dirty pic was taken at 16.43pm today. 400mm F5.6 50th iso 800 handheld. 75% of frame. Cleaned up a bit in PS. The comet should be around for the next few days. Its visible with the naked eye.

Hey up John, what's this astronomy stuff? 16:43pm? Which part of the uni was this from?

Hi John,

Have been looking out for it for a few days - apparently it is also visible in the east just before sunrise. Should be at it's brightest in the next couple of days. As I'm shooting digital now maybe I'll get some photos of this one - Jessops wouldn't print the film shots I took of Halley's comet - they didn't think there was anything on them
