Today I just received a couple of CDs from Rich Voninski with drum scan files that he did for me. Man does he do a good job! I was really pleased with the way this one came out. It was taken from up near Dream Lake looking back at Longs Peak at the end of October. This web version has lost a lot of the detail.

Wow!
I love the colors and texture of the snow. I feel like I am there.
I bet it is images like these make it hard to shoot digital. Don't get me wrong. All I shoot is digital. But when I see some 4x5 shots like this it helps me to appreciate what they can provide.

Eric, there are alot of great things going on in this shot. Very nice!

Beyond being a stellar shot, this serves as a reminder that we were getting some pretty healthy snow before these latest storms. Keep 'em coming! (sweet photos and storms, that is...)

Estes McDonalds is purchasing 9 wood mounted prints from me to help the restaurant say RMNP a bit more. I think this shot of Longs will join three others on one of the inner walls. Those in this shot will all be 30x40s, kind of showing the four seasons. I'll also be putting in three 40x60s and two 24x36 pieces.

The shot of Long's is beautiful! I love the subtle warm colors that balance out the coolness. Sweet comp, too!
Congrats on the McDonalds sale - holy cow! That's great. The 40x60s are from 6MP digital files, right?

Beautiful stuff and congratulations on the sale, Erik. Who does your wood mounting ? I assume they will be putting a laminate on it as well!

Don, I have several places that do my wood mounting and they all use a fabulous 3M laminate which protects against finger prints, uv rays, can be cleaned with window cleaner, very durable, etc. It will work perfectly in a public restaurant setting.

A terrific image and one that I would be proud to have in my own collection.

Nice, subtle colors in this shot, Erik. The new snow on the trees is great and I like the clouds too. Congratulations on your sale.

Erik, this shot made me break from my lurking stage and post a comment. Such a beauty that's going to look great printed large.
The other three are nice as well. Gosh I wish I could visit CO in the winter. Actually I just wish winter would arrive here; I was out taken photos in upper 40 temps today.
Congrats on the sale.
