Hi,
Can finally get through to my feeders, the walkway has been repaired, spent Sunday am there with this shot in mind... I had wanted the bg lit less but by the time this bird perched and posed in the right place the sun had come round.
All the best

Hi Phil very nice, I noticed you use a better beamer I have been thinking about possibly getting one for occasional use and was wondering if you think they are worth the money and how easy are they to use.
Phillip.

Nice image Phil,
The catkin really makes the composoition. Beautiful and sharp.

i think a bit of head turn towards you would have clinched it. Somehow the 90deg look just doesn't work for me.

Hi Phil,
No nits from me - a lovely perch and a stunning background!

As good a blue tit photo as I've seen! I like the way it is concentrating on the catkin (if that's what it is - none around in Scotland as far as I know)
Correct, the 550EX was in High speed sync mode, in fact I always leave it there as it cancels itself when the shutter speed goes below 1/250 and comes into effect when it rises above 1/250.

BTW many thanks for all your kind comments very much appreciated.

1/320sec? shot with the 580Ex in high sync mode?
