Late Saturday afternoon I found my way up to a ridge and watched the clouds move in and out amongst the Mummy Range. Just behind me the clouds were nearly black and snow was falling hard. It made for a beautiful evening even though there was no warm light to be had. The clouds swallowed up the sunset but it was still nice to be out.

Beautiful image. I really like the way the clouds are moving around the mountains.

Ahem! You have my address. But wait a few days, just in case you have a few more to add. Glad you got out again Saturday.

Richie, I sure wish it was 4x5 but this was taken at 270mm in 35mm terms. The longest 4x5 lens I have is 150mm (50mm equivalent). :frown: Todd, I've got a number of shots I'll send to you including a few taken this VERY chilly morning.

I really like the clouds hiding the mountain and the snowy trees on the MG ridge, but the FG tree doesn't do much for me. It's almost a barrier to the scene behind it. I'd still be happy to have this one in my files but it doesn't have that usual "Stensland" appeal to me. Glad to see you're getting out!

Man, I so disagree with Bret. Those trees are the anchor to the whole scene. Behind them appears to be nothing but featureless clouds.

Looks chilly! Very nice - love the comp and the crisp feel. Looks like it was a great afternoon to be out with the camera.
