Canada Geese
Canada Geese - Branta canadensis
D60, 170-500, f/5.6, 1/640', ISO200, Full Frame.
Levels, USM and Noise Ninja applied.

Had a day out at Slimbridge yesterday with my girlfriend, and found time to take a few shots. I find flight shots very frustrating with only 3 AF points and a slow lens, but this one didn't come out too bad. Taken in the nice evening sun.

Was nice to see David and John too - familiar faces thanks to UKNP! :wavey:

Hi Pete

Good to see you again yesterday - looking at this shot all the frustration was worth it. I love the lighting and the inclusion of the tree turns the shot into a picture - a little more speration of the middle two geese would have been good but that is a very minor nit!

Hi Pete, nice colourful image. Only nit is I would like a bit more space to the rigth. :wavey:

Hi Pete

A nicely caught flight shot with a good formation and wing positions. I would also agree a bit more space to the right hand side would help. The late afternoon light works quite nicely too.

cheers

Hi Pete,

great flight shot. The tree in the bg adds a lot to this IMHO. It would be nice to see a little separation between the middle two geese but realistically you've done well to get the others separated so nicely.

Nice one Pete, nits covered, I find flight shots extremely frustrating too, even with 9 points and a fast lens, however I am addicted to manual focus....
