Mute Swan
Went to Slimbridge yesterday in the hope of getting a few shots of the Bittern, having seen Kevin's superb image. Well I saw it but never got anything nearly as good as Kevin's shot so I'm posting a Mute Swan instead!

Canon 1D MkII + 500 + x1.4 iso 320 1/2000 at f6.3 (Full frame with a little cropped top and bottom)

Hi Dave, seems like you finally got some good light  Nice action-photo with a good wing-spread :toast:

Hi Dave

Nicely caught Mute swan, excellent detail and shape to the wings. Is this from the South Lake hide?

cheers

Sean

Hi David,

A great image - makes up for the bittern disappointment. I often overlook mute swans and such - I won't from now on!
