I think I finally calibrated my monitor, let me know if it looks ok or not please. This is from my trip to the Southwest at the Wave.
Life has kept me busy, and I have not had time to go out shooting at all really. My wife is about to burst with our second boy and the building of a new facility for our business has become paramount. Hopefully I'll get out a few more times before the winter ends.
Thank for looking.
PS...The shots you guys have been putting up have really been incredible, very nice work yall.
Well, I'm looking at this from work on an uncalibrated monitor, and it looks pretty good, perhaps a little dark, but not bad. It could just be my monitor. I really like the comp, the lines. I think a full moon might be more interesting, but it is a nice element regardless. Great DOF.

This works really well for me, Jeremy. This winter is going quickly for me as well.... This is beautiful and color and shadow and sharpness are very good. Striking even

Very nice shot Jeremey. Since the office was a ghost town, my mind was wandering to thoughts of photo opportunities with the new snow here. I also checked it out on an uncalibrated monitor and here at home on the calibrated screen and ditto Ryan's comments. I also really like the composition, the striations/contour in the rock are well placed. Looks like a piece of driftwood in the center of a stone stream.
Best regards,

I see a slight blue tint...but I think it looks natural/right for the conditions. I can understand the log in the comp...but I'm not totally feeling it. Perhaps a slightly different placement of it...or a shadow would have made this a tiny bit more balanced or off center.
Overall, an interesting pic. I like it.

Not your typical view of the wave. My laptop monitor is calibrated and I don't get a blue cast. I guess you break the rule of thirds with the log in the center which is probably what bothers Rick. But sometimes rules are meant to be broken. I can see this as a large wall print. Good work.

Thanks everyone. I don't see a blue cast, but it might seem a tad like that due to the pre-dawn light....? Thirds.....I try not to let that be a factor when composing a shot. Even though it is usually what works best. Thanks for confirming me calibration....what a pain in the ass.
