Mute Swan
Been too busy to track down the bittern at Slimbridge, so thought I would post this shot from a couple of years ago at the reserve of a preening mute swan.

I took the shot as it floated under my feet on one of the boardwalks.

I like this a lot, the eye I find is mesmerising almost seductive, better not carry on. I guess technically it could be improved with regards to sharpness and the whites but a great picture.

I like this too - possibly a slightly tighter crop from the right to reduce the black space in top corner, or a square crop would give an even tighter impact.

Thanks for the feedback everybody.

It's very useful and each time I get these hints, I realise I need to spend a bit more time on post-shot processing to make the best of each image.
