Male House Sparrow
Here is another shot from my trip to Norfolk, it is along the same lines as my snow bunting shot. I really liked the colours in the roof tiles and I spent nearly two hours photographing these Sparrows as they were busy setting up territories for the breeding season.

Canon EOS 1D MKII, 500mm Lens, 1.4x Convertor, F8, 1/500, ISO 200.

Nice image - I'm a big fan of this type of environmental setting type shot. :toast:

nice - sets the scene beautifully, the light is gorgeous (late evening sun?) and the detail on the sparrow is good - cant get better than a house sparrow on a house!

Hi Danny

Great setting, light and composition. I do however in this shot find the OOF FG slightly distracting whereas in your previous image of the Snow Bunting it added to the overall appeal of the image. I think this is because the OOF FG doesn't run evenly across the diagonal if you see what I mean. That said I would still like it in my collection!

Hi Danny,

Not to sure about the OOF foreground, for me it would have been nice to see the feet etc.
The bird and BG are spot on though.
