Snow Bunting
While on the North Norfolk coast I bumped into Danny Green, so instead of posting a similar shot, I 've gone for a slightly different pose.

There were about 15-20 very confiding birds on the bank at Salthouse. Whenever they were flushed they always came back to the same area for the bird feed that had been left there. When Danny had gone they would come within a few feet of me  a wonderful experience.

C&C welcome.

Hi it's a very nice image to have in your files, I think the only thing that it could have done with is the whole of the tale showing as you have most of the bird showing, I unfortunately missed the only one we've had this year here locally, I was going to post one I took in 2001 it is very different from the ones already posted so I still may do later in the week.

Nice shot, showing the stony habitat well. There is quite an obvious sharpening halo on my screen.

Good environmental shot - funny how mist shots of these I see are on the beach (as opposed to snow) - great sharpness and colours especially,

Cheers

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the comments, I see what you mean about the Halo above the crown of the bird, I've had a look at my unsharpened TIFF and it's still there, although not as prominant  any suggestions why???

Maybe this particular bird is a true Saint!

Hi Mark

Super shot in great light, I love the way these birds co-ordinate with the shingle. If it were mine I would see if I could cloan out the OOF stone left FG!

Hi Mark,

David K has pretty much said what I was going to say, This is a species I have no images of but I do plan a trip to the Suffolk coast to try to bag some

Regards

Rob
