This is St. Mary's Lake in Glacier National Park, October 2006. I was waiting for the rock formation, behind me, to turn red during the sunrise, so I captured a few images of the lake during twilight. I enjoy these types of images as it gives some mystery and is about to reveal the scene. Comments are Welcome.

Oh, Wow, Dave, this is sweet! Calm, thoughtful, graphic, I'm all over it!
I like this too. Very calm. I know the spot where you took it.
Judging from the trees on Wild Goose Island, it looks tilted to the left pretty significantly.

Dave, we must have just missed each other. I was in Banff/Jasper early in October but returned to Glacier from the 18th-3rd of November. When I came back through the last time, in late November I hiked 4 miles before dawn to reach this spot in a lot of snow and ice (road was closed), but unfortunatley didn't come away with anything all that spectacular.
I like this one. The wind patterns on the lake are very nice.
