Just quickly to say that I trust you managed to get through yesterdays storms unscathed, after a nightmare journey home I was plased to find that despite the aspect and elevation of our house I had lost just one short piece of guttering and it appears that I only lost one slate from the roof
First job for Saturday is to check on my feeders and carry out any repairs etc...
No damage to the house. It did take me 4 hours to get home from work though. Just over 20 miles, normally takes 18 minutes on the train. With the trains cancelled and the M6 closed, it took 4 hours in a rail replacement coach.
Slates and Fence... £90 .... but home in 15 minutes

Back ache, cold, wet and windblown.
Worked all day yesterday well into dark, removing tree limbs from water courses with a chainsaw, hand saw, winch etc...................... and then its was delivering sandbags!
Ye it looked bit blowy over your way on the TV last night, hope you all survived it OK

Next door neighbour's Laylandii tree crashed through the roof of my Tawny Owl aviary yesterday lunchtime - now perhaps he'll appreciate they ARE too tall! (Tawny Owl thankfully unscathed)
