This looks real nice Paul. I especially like the inclusion of the grass at the bottom. I get so blown away by the colors that can be found on these trees in the fall.

Hi Paul,

Nice compostion. You have a wonderful lacy effect on your trees that I find intriguing Thanks for the memories of the area. Could have been in California, Colorado, Utah. BIG sign since I'm no longer in any of these areas ...
Could you please supply additional shooting data.
Thanks,

Carol Hyman

Hi Carol, thank you for the comments. I usually add a little more data when I post on ESS, but here in this area it is usually, not always, California images. This one is from California and the scene is located along the South Fork of the Bishop Creek just west of the town of Bishop in the Eastern Sierras of Northern California. :wavey:

Hi Paul,

This is nice. You have some really fine color working for you here. I think a crop from the bottom to the lower edge of the dark area in the forground vegetation gives the photo a bit more 'lift'. You might also consider a slight crop from the left to take out the yellow tree in the top left corner: my eye gets drawn to that little patch of color. The talus-tree combination is really cool.

I love this spot! I haven't had much success here for some reason; maybe just the wrong time of day, or it was too windy. You've done very well with this spot!

I like teh comp, but I think the foliage could use more "oomphh" to it. The colors seem dull for the amoutn of vibrancy the leaves appear they should have if that makes any sense.

Hi Paul,

The composition is nice but I get the feeling that the presentation is being hurt by JPEG compression. I have always found it hard to present an image with lots of detail like you have going here in the foliage.
