It's no wonder that the Southwest landscape is regarded by many to have the finest light in the world. Here, in Zion's "Subway", light is reflected into the rushing water from towering red sandstone walls illuminated in the morning light. The best time to photograph this area, for many reasons, is probably later in the season with much less water flow, but I have yet to see another image with so much water coming down the tunnel. It was like working inside a giant slip n'slide made of sandstone. I got soaked!
Marc, this is indeed amazing. The amount of water you have flowing here is impressive. Sweet light.

Marc,
My hats off to you walking around here with so much water. We were there in November with probably the least amount of flow and still it was fun walking around with all the gear w/o falling on one's bottom.
Excellent composition as always.

That sandstone gets pretty slick when it gets wet. Sounds like a lot of fun...and you got some of that sweet light. This comp conveys the name of the area very well.

Marc,
I kind of feel that a faster shutter speed would be in order. The foreground blurred water doesn't quite seem to work with the rest of the image. I kind of feel tension when I view this. IMHO !!!
