For the waterfall crowd, here is one of my favorites - quite a contrast to all the PNWNP falls shots. I took this in Oct 2002 mid-day after a hike up Calf Creek in the Escalante region. Yes, the algae was that iridescent.

Craig,

I've hiked into this falls quite a few times and always have had so-so light. Only one I've shot it from this angle and now I am sorry I hadn't done more. I really like your shot. The blue sky and green algae really work well.

What I do remember about this place is how cool & good it felt in there after walking the few miles into Calf Creek during the summer & late sporing.

Very nice.

Great shot. I like the saturated Velvia like image. I am finding I get a lot of criticism on the big site "NPN Gallery" when my images look like this. But you had a bright day and that's how the colors look in Escalante!
