Reading the Vancouver, WA Columbian this morning and low and behold a 1/3rd page spread about Mr. Adamus including two photos. Very nice to see you getting some of the recognition you deserve!!!

PS-Page C-5 in the Clark County section.

Thanks Jerry. The associated press started running this story on me and my landscape work two weeks ago with a full double-page spread in the Eugene Register gaurd. To date, it has appeared in dozens of newspapers around the country. Overall, I enjoyed the feature allthough there were a few minor inaccuracies, such as the way it portrays my transition to digital, my beginnings in photography and a few technical subjects like "dynamic range", but it's hard to expect technical perfection from the AP.

Cool, Marc, you should get copies of them and keep them safe somewhere, it's a kick to read them later, you know, when you get old, like me.

I've been interviewed a dozen times for rock climbing related articles and they never get it all right.

heh, speaking of not getting it all right, I just noticed Jerry didn't quite get your name spelled right.   Just giving you a hard time Jerry!

I found the Register Guard article on-line. That's a nice writeup Marc.

Awesome work and a great marketing opp. I don't know if it was your idea or the AP's, marc, but the environment is getting to be a real hot button topic for the masses and it will only grow in our lifetime. So, pitching your work as being about conservation is a sure bet to get more media coverage and appeciation from everyone, I would think, especially since it's true. I worked for an environmentally focused AmeriCorps program for a year doing PR and we always had the best media success when me promoted a project as being about making the planet better through conservation, rather than the more boring spin of "making the community better." Keep it up and start scoping for a gallery spot in Seattle or something

It started when a client of mine, a book publisher based in Eugene recommended my story to an editor at the Register Guard who checked out my work and loved it. He ran the story in the Guard first and then the AP aquired the rights to use it from me.

I agree that the environmental topic is strong for marketing, allthough for me it's really simply just doing what I love first and foremost. What I love is the envrionment and expoloring nature.
