Little Grebe....
... I think. Having looked at various images of Little Grebes, they seem to vary quite a lot. Is this a juvenile? There were four of these and they all looked the same.

Not had much time lately, but managed to get out for a few hours on Saturday to Budleigh in Devon....nice to be out! Would have preferred a lower shooting angle and perhaps not such rough water...but that's life!

C and C appreciated

Graeme

Nice image Graeme  Yes, it's one of this year's brood often referred to as a 1st winter bird. There's one or two knocking about on my local reserve but I've not managed to get near one yet.

Hi Graeme, very pleasant shot of a bird I can not get close to at all, great detail and the with use of the 2x, I'm always amazed at the quality produced with this tc.

Hi Graeme,

Nice shot - like the light and the big sharp eye especially, good work with the 2x

Cheers,

Hello Graeme
That 2x tc really is a good piece of kit and this image proves it, very good detail and a nice capture.
Best wishes

Nice capture in great light, perhaps a tad oversharpened as I think I'm seeing some artefacts on my monitor.

Good looking shot Graeme. The angle works for me and the water is not contrasty so the roughness doesn't detract. Sharpness not too bad on my monitor. Colours look good.

Good shot with nice light, Graeme. I too find it a bit over-sharpened :wavey:
